APC made in Las Vegas
While a friend of mine was picking up a new 2005 Texas Chopper (sat there for two years) at our local Iron Horse dealer I noticed a new 2005 (another sitter) American Performance Cycle bike from Las Vegas that really has my eye. It is a production bike rather than titled custom (less insurance for sure) but really balanced and felt well. Not raked out like a chopper and looked similar to the Iron Horse Slammer. Their non commission salesman advised me that APC is not factory friendly with dealers when it comes to warranty, and advised against it. Anyone have an APC out there? Rock on...
Both Texas Choppers and APC run in the mid 20's..... nothin cheap about that. I believe they have been sitting because limited buyers with $26K, folks what what they want at that price, color?, and the dealer seems to be in a hidden location.
I meant cheap as in poor quality, custom bikes are a dying breed, their bad reputation has caught up with them. Try it if you must but I have been there and will never do it again.
Thanks Rob for the candid reply. Yesterday on my way over to Tennessee Motorsports in Brentwood, Tennessee I just happened to follow what appeared to be an orange 2006 Iron Horse Texas Chopper. That guy was busting his a.s.s just to ride the bike. He waived all traffic on at intersections then made the turn just like he was pulling a 40 foot trailer. I was beginning to sweat just watching him sweat. Fortunately they were closed at 4:00 and I got there at 4:10.
Maybe the signs are telling me something.

i owned a 05 ironhorse, and thought about buying an apc bike, as ive been to their shop, i do not believe they are bad or cheap quality, they have a beautiful shop and very friendly, i also think "custom bikes" are unique in that you have some with problems and some without, wait thats just like harleys and any other motor vehicle, i now own a harley, not cause my bike gave me problems but because my wife wanted to ride more, so we made the switch, but choppers or customs are very easy to ride, or turn, sure it feels a little differant but after a couple times on it, it will be like you've always rode one,
this is just my opinion, but i think everyone has their own experiences, and you have to just go with your gut, if you dont you'll never be happy!!!

I ride a 2002 APC Gambler. The fit & finish on this bike is fantastic. Chrome plating is top notch. I've owned many bikes in my lifetime but this one tops them all. Not knocking Harley at all but, I own several, they are great bikes but hardly compare. This bike is a real head turner and draws crowds wherever I go. It is also a joy to ride. The best bike investment I've made. This is one Bad bike! It's easy to make comments about a bike when you've never owned one. 8 years and the only thing I have replaced is the battery. By the way can anyone tell me where I can buy a tail light lens for it?
I have those same forks and the chrome on the legs sucks but it kinda does on all the aftermarket pro one styles. Yours looks good though. You've probably been better to it than my bike. Mines not a apc sorry for the tangent. I do like the looks of them
Hi guys.
i think rob 12345 needs to get a life, have you ridden an apc OR EVER MAINTAINED ONE ?
the guys behind this should have been supported better by there brothers, they did a great job of building beutiful bikes at prices nobody else could have matched.
they where better the big dogs & others, just line one up against the others & see which one had better 'flow & lines', this became more obvious on the road.
FYI..i dont know anyone at APC, i live in New Zealand for a start, but I own a high roller which i imported to sell but fell in love with & to this day still use as a daily, & trust me ive riddden a few good bikes.
theres my rant, cheers
