A guy at work is building a BigBearChopper - The Devils Advocate - and he wants me to help.
I went over to see it yesterday, it's about 1/3 done, and my first impression was "WOW" this has some massive metal in it. Fenders have to be 1/8" thick, handlebar stock is probably 1/8" round stock, frame looks like it's from a Kenworth!
He has had a few "glitches" though, and I was hoping I can hear from some of you guys that have built one, or know someone that has built one, how it went and what he can expect.
build good?
ride good?
customer support good?
resale good?
He is building this thing in a barely 2-car garage, with an old GTO and tons of **** everywhere.
Am I missing something here? Are you guys against the "kit bike" and cloner guys? I definately have my own opinions on the whole kit bike craze, but I thought this might be the perfect place for discussion.
Fill me in.
We just don't have a big Custom Bike following here on HDF. We are the largest HD Forum on the internet but most of us ride stock or near stock bikes.
Take Care and Good Luck,
