Have a recuring sumping problem.I find minute carbon flakes when I clean the check valve.Probably cooked oil residue from oil tank (12 yrs old horseshoe w/built in filter). I do have a frame mount filter from another project and think it would solve the contamination problem if I mounted it inline on the supply line from tank to pump.Concerns that it might restrict flow too much have kept me from installing it.Could use some input from someone knowledgable of oil pump/filter tech.Tired of dumping good oil on startup after a couple of days sitting.
