chacon101,
For a solo seat, I used one of the Harley 1925 style seats. Very comfortable, but very wide (17"). They are also called tractor seats...for good reason, they look like a tractor seat but you can sit on 'em all day long. Farmers know something about comfortable seats.
lownloud,
Was your fender made by a guy named Craig Tirey? I am using one that he made. 13 gauge, very strong.
I bought from him when I found his stuff on eBay. I think he is in Ohio.
Have you done any performance stuff to the engine? Is it injected or a carb?
Yep That's him......Does nice work.
The carb has been jetted with the Kuryakyn needle. Open air K&N filter. It goes nice...gonna have it dynoed soon.
the Seat is actually comfortable. it does have foam in it. The problem with a solo seat is the fender is mounted to the swingarm and it comes up a bit. I'd have to find the right seat to fit this one. It's not that bad is it????
I made the seat so if I need to make another or test some other I could. For now it works.

I am going to be doing the same basic setup with the Nightster when I get it (I am still researching all my parts) but there is one thing I have always wondered.....how do you deal with that seat??!? I LOVE your bike and all but wow, I couldn't trade a comfortable seat for fashion. Couldn't a solo seat work....you wouldn't be able to even really see it while you ride anyways.

Interesting, I would of guessed that seat would of been a ball buster.
Great job! My buddy has the same bike and has been doing a lot to his too, I just sent him your thread.
Love the apes they make the bike.
