bruce,
that bike is sick. i love the paint and fat behind. not so sure about the two up deal. when you said the oil is in the frame my eyes popped out my head. that's one heck of a creative mind for inventing that!!
Well Terry, when the weather is good, I am NOT sitting at the computer. The Ultra is FINE..We are about to turn the race turner all the way up.....The Bike is way beyond our expectations, and we are VERY please with it.
Great to hear from you. I realize none of us are staying home to chat on days like we have been having but drop us a line around midnight sometime. Glad the Ultra is running so good. While you were out touring I rode a friends Roadglide. It was 117 cu in and 2038 cc. I've never had more fun on a motorcycle in 15 minutes than I did that day. Had to be close to how you feel. I pegged the speedo riding one handed trying to hold on to my sunglasses.
Yes, the Sunglass hold is quite the issue at "speed". We kept our Screamin' Eagle Deuce for our son who graduated PSU last month. I rode it last nite for a "change",,,,,Jeeez- it felt like a mini-bike (FOr those of us to rememebr the pre-curser to todays' POCKET bikes....... I am sick of the stupid SPIN on everything in our life...Mini was a good word, but the now generation has to use pocket. Would you rather see a chick in a mini skirt or a POCKET skirt (Pilot like to keep his hand in his pocket when he sees a hot chick!!!!- Yeah- U missed me!)
Well, if this bike isn't insane enough, brought it home last night from the shop.....We added the Rivera Engineering DUAL 42MM Mikunis (Yes, I know the 124" Motor may like the dual 45's better, but for low end torque and raw power- the faster velocity of the 42's works better, and MUCH easier to tune).......
The end result, DAMN. A little flat spot between 85 MPH and 120, but not that I go there often. This has been a good week for us as we also DYNO'd the Ultra at #1 Cycle in State College.... It finished at 109 HP (SAE Corrected)...... Biggest number they saw on a 100% Harley parts 103 Motor yet....Very happy!
