Custom Title In Illinois
Does anyone know the procedure for getting a custom motorcycle title in Illinois? Is there an inspection and what kinds of things do they look for (exhaust, handlebar height, etc.)?

To get the straight scoop right from the DMV for Illinois, go to their website. You may have to hunt around some, at least, I did at the California DMV website but the info should be there. Or you can call your local DMV.

just hit up the DMV... i use the one in Elgin cause they are all about getting you in and out... there are no regulations on anything in IL as far as mechanic... just need a headlight, tail light, and tires... no turns, guages, odometer, nothing... i title about 2 bikes a year... just so you know if you build over 2 bikes (in a lifetime) in IL that you have to reg as a custom build... on the 3rd they will req a busn liscense... NO idea why... but that is how it is.
