Default Need a bit of help please!

Hi, we have an '07 Thunder Mountain Keystone and today we noticed the headlight was out. It is a bullet style. How do we change the bulb? When ordering parts, what do we use to look them up with? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry man I missed this one. The bag is made by Viking and my wife bought it from them directly. The 2 into 1 exhaust is from Kerker. The pipes sound great but I wish I had the Big Radius pipes from Vance and Hines, for the looks.

Btw how do you like the backrest/ rack? Worth the $800

With mine, there were 2 set screws on the bottom of the headlight. The first set screw held the headlight bezel. Loosen the first set screw then unscrew the bezel. Once the bezel is out, loosen the second set screw and remove the headlight. Once out, remove the bulb and head to your local auto store.

Hello kaj249,
I had scrapped up my original headlight so I went to take a look at it. Its pretty much as Olsen said. On my original headlight there is only one screw. It is an Adjure headlight.

Adjure

Use a tiny 1/16 Allen Wrench, remove the screw at the bottom.

Turn the inside ring counter clockwise with tips of fingers using two hands placed at 3 and 9 clock positions, you may need to apply a slight pressure inward to compress the pressure ring while turning it. Once it stops turning, you should be able to remove the ring.

Pull out the light assembly.

Release the metal clip that holds the bulb in place from under the catch.

The bulb is an H4 9003, 60/55W - Remember not to touch the new bulb with your bare hands, Ive heard the oils reduce the life of the bulb. Not sure if that is true but cant hurt.

Just do in reverse to get it all back on. Hope this helps, Keep in touch, since there aren't very many of us talking about TMCC. Good Luck!

Olsen,
I have the same exhaust, sounds decent. You know, I always wanted to change them for the big radius and then I saw to many choppers with them so I held back. Then I saw a set called medusa by martin brothers and man, I wanted those. Never got around to it, and now I'm totally good with my exhaust. Especially since I put on a Power commander V and had it dyno tuned. I saw that everyone that did that, they told them to get 2:1 exhaust for the best results. So I'm over it. I'm going to look up that bag, it looks good. Mine is getting a bit weathered. How does your bag attach?

This is what TMCC had told me regarding how to find parts for my bike.

"The closest service manual for the Keystone is the H-D FXST year 2005 (if the unit is a 103 if the unit is a 110 use 2007)."

The Viking bag comes with nylon straps to attach to the swing arm. I didn't trust the straps so I went with large black zip ties. The zip ties are about 1/2" wide and should be in your local lowes.

Cool, thanks. About the back rest /rack. I haven't used it too much since my wife is always with me when I ride. The few times I ride with it, I have liked it. One day I will use it on a long ride, it should really help then. I lucked out and found it on Craigslist for 250.

Default Thunder Mountain Keystone

I'm building a new TM Keystone from a new frame I found on-line. Does anyone know where I might find oem fender struts? I've got the fender but can't seem to locate these struts anywhere.

GMan,
Go to heartlandbiker.com
For the struts. Post pics of your build as you progress. Good luck.
