Hey guys I wanted to share my newest project with everybody and get some opinions. With winter set in I really don't have anything I want to do to the Dyna right now so I started looking for something to occupy my time. I came across this unfinished bike and it caught my interest. It's a Walz Hardcore from Germany. The previous owner started it a couple of years ago and did not finish so there it sat. I was fortunate to be able to pick it up for what I felt was a respectable price. Included with all the parts I got were the Hardcore roller, a new unfired Ultima 127" motor, Baker DD 5-speed tranny, Primo Brute IV primary, Legend air ride suspension and Spyke starter. Jay brake controls, Supertrapp mufflers and Hardcore wheels and Avon tires. It appears that about 95% of the parts to finish the bike were included in my purchase. I think the frame and fenders were wet sanded and left so it looks rough right now plus its filthy from sitting in a dirty garage. It's a big project but I didn't want the deal to slip away and somebody else get it. Now im having second thoughts if I have the patience and know how to complete this thing. Just wanted to hear everybody's thoughts on this from anybody thats been involved in a complete build before. To update everyone I decided to complete the build. I finished the assemble having to custom fab some of the brackets. This included the drive side brake, voltage regulator and trans mount. Once I was satisfied with the fit of everything i disassembled and sent everything to a friend of mine for paint. Just got everything back and started to put it back together and thought I would post pictures as I go. I think its gonna turn out pretty good if I do say so myself. The frame is gloss black and for the tins I went with Sublime Green with a gold pearl in the clear, it really pops in the sun.
Kudos to you for taking on a project like that!! I wish I had the gonads to do something like that. One day I will!. Paint looks good brother. Cant wait to see it finished!!
