I'm looking forward to it. I would reconsider on the transmission choice though. I strongly recommend a six speed versus the five. Less vibration and you have the overdirve gear in which you will need. I have the el bruto 120 engine. This is one hell of an engine and strongly recommened ! Here's my chopper.

That's nice looking bike you have there. How's it handle?

Hardcore, good looking bike. This bike is going to be geared tall just for highway cruising.I have ridden a 155"powered bike with a 6 speed, and personally you are shifting too often. This motor delivers so much torque off idle, for me a 5 speed is enough. My 124"RK has a 5 speed with tall gearing, which seems to be Okay.I tell you what, once this thing is broken in and the fear factor subsides a little,I just might play with different gearing,I will keep you all informed.Dog

Keep me posted with the tall gears. I have had both. I do know that a 5spd. is a lot of vibration vs. the 6 spd. My current 6 spd [roadmax] i went with shorter gear drive gears [ trans. and rear sprocket]. I wanted low end torque off the line-and-stop light to stoplight power. when I hit 70-100 mph, it's not the vibration - it's trying to keep myself in the seat- the bike pulls hard as **** !! lol

Hardcore,Actually I called all the suppliers of 6 speeds and most have said that my hp levels are too high. The 5 speeds have bigger gears more able to handle the torque.Having said that, the 5 speed, and 34/70 combo in my 124" works great. The motor has more pulling time, which seems more right than slamming gears constantly. The bottom line,it works for me.A lot of boys I ride with have commented on how I seem to always have 1 more gear.

Thanx for the compliments- for me, I think the bike handles pretty good " if you are used to a chopper". Having said that, some experience is needed in riding these types of bikes. There is more rake, a fat rear tire and a very powerful engine. I have taken this chopper on a 200 mile ride with no problems. In feburary, I'll be putting it up for sale to start another project.

I rode a 53 Pan chopper for years, raked and extended, back then it was the only way to go,and I loved it.straight upsweep pipes and all.The one thing I was always missing was more torque than I could ever use.I rode a 93" Shovel for 10 yrs,the last three on 124" Evo,and next year will be on a 155"TC Road King Sleeper.(sleeper? at least for those that do not know what they are seeing or hearing)The 124" motor for me has been the perfect bagger motor. It has all the right power where you need it.Two up riding is exellent. The 155" is going to be mostly a Hot Rod,but be able to set it up for limited touring. Then again we will have to wait and see.Dog
