I was out last weekend just looking around at Roadhouse cycles in Post Falls ID and they made me a deal on an '06 Ridgeback that I couldnt refuse. I am an impulse buyer so I didnt do any research on Big Dog before buying.
What are some of your opinions on these bikes? The build quality looks good and it runs like a raped ape with that 117" engine. Take care....
Some have reported qlty probs recently, but I cannot speak to that. They are sharp bikes. The motor may need a rebuild at 40-50k being a bigger stroker. But enjoy the power, and congrats.
I just traded my 07 night train for an 06 ridgeback as well.So far so good.I have added 2.5" extended controls and thats all.I'm tryin to figure out what exhaust to get.All I've found are Martin bros mean mothers,V&H big radius, and Grumpys twisted sisters.I like the V&H but almost every Big dog I see has them.Good luck with the back and hold on tight when you hit the bumps LOL.Later
My stock pipes lasted 250 miles til I couldnt stand it anymore. I installed a set of Hooker Widetails which look and sound real good, also installed an S&S .600 cam and rejetted with a .031 intermediate and .076 main.
The thing runs much better now and sounds like it should........Take Care!
