Pococj on this site made one recently for his ride. PM him and I'm sure he will help you out.

No one I know markets the type shown in your picture, with the clutch lever attached to the hand shift lever. What kind of money are you thinking about here? Any good machine/welding shop should be able to make one. And when you know the cable length required, Barnett's will make one up for you. have you checked with any of your local indy shops? That'd be the best starting point, unless you think you want to make it yourself.

Are you at all handy with tools? Can you weld, or at least know someone who can weld, preferably TIG? If so, your shift lever can be made from some 1 inch diameter tubing, with a hole drilled at the pivot point for a sleeve. The bottom section can be shaped to suit you, or a flat or other solid piece welded below the pivot point, if you don't want the 1 inch diameter tubing down there. The piece from the lever to the tranny can be a cut-down & rethreaded stock piece. The piece that mounts to the bike can even be made by moving the horn to another location, and then drilling the mount to accept whatever pivot bolt you decide on.

Almost forgot! It's a suicide clutch, not a suicide shifter. And what you're wanting would best be described as a combination hand shifter/clutch.

I'm OK with a wiregun and a crackerbox, I just never thought of making one.The one in the pic looks basiclly like you explained, just a piece of 1" tubing.I guess they staggered the tubing (used the 2 pieces side by side ) to get a desired look or to move it back some to fit a specific person. Then all I'd need would be a clutch handle clamped onto the shifter and clutch line?Simple enough I guess. The only "shops" where I'm from is Legget Cycles, but dennis might could help me out.I see your'e from Jefferson, only about an hour from me,I'm from Joaquin..I rode up to the BOO ride a couple months ago. Also, how much should I expect to pay for one thats on the market? Thanks for all the help.

Well, as far as price - there aren't any on the market, so the price would depend on the hourly wage! My suicide clutch set-up is made by LaBriola. Costs about $400. I made the hand lever out of a piece of 1" flatbar from Tractor Supply.

Legget's the shop on the drag in Joaquin, the one with all the old bikes stuffed in it? If so, the son built my carport a couple years ago.

I'm the dude who opens the Boo run with the prayer (up on the courthouse steps with the music dude & Boo)just before the poker runs take off Saturday morning. Also man the CMA tent in the vendor area, handing out free coffee & water. If you get there early enough next year on Saturday, I usually have some fresh hot doughnuts, too.

Yea, Leggett has a lot of old Indians and BSA's and lord knows what else in there LOL..He mainly does alot of engine work but is a pretty handy fabricator.Maybe we can rig one up.

I probly seen you at the ride then,we were standing in front of the steps when they announced the poker run winners and the bike winner..Hopefully I can attend next year as well. Thanks again for all the info.
