I recently bought a 2006 Blackhawk 240 and I was looking for any info I can get on the bike. I read that the company went out of business from reading some of the past threads here. Can anyone shed any light at all on these bikes? What frame did they use? Was the Heartland fender made specifically for TMC, or is it a standard fender that they still produce? Are the seats custom, or would a seat from a certain model Harley also fit? Also how reliable are the Screaming Eagle 103 motors? Anything I should check, any common problems, any necessary motor maintenance I should look into?
When it gets here I was planning on inspecting the frame for cracks, changing the oil, checking the year on the tires, checking the brake and rotor wear, and doing a compression test. Any thing else to add to the list?
