Default old bike new paint ?

Any ideas on how to keep the back fender from getting damaged when putting the back seat on, I only use it when mamma rides along, then it comes off. I want to keep from getting those darn back seat marks that always seem to show up after it gets put on. i would like to try that clear film you put on with water and like some decals have, but not sure where to find it? just wondering if any of you have done something to avoid this.

Do a search for 3m paint protection film and your zip code.
There is probably someone local who will install it for you.
I found a local dealer who covered the tops of my saddlebags for $40.
It only took them 20 minutes.
