any ideas on protecting the paint on the rear gaurd when i use the wider seat with my wife
i use the badlander when riding alone and dont wont the wider sundowner marking the paint
thanks
Tell ya what low tech solution I use...
Go down to walmart and in the hobbies section you'll find a roll of magnetic strip (like tape, just magnetic).
Clean your paint/chrome surface and lay down a couple of these cut to length where the seat might rub the paint and your off. My buds use the stuff to cover areas where throwover saddlebags might scuff the paint on their bikes. Goes on easy, comes of easy...it's a magnet..simple.
