CQUK with Reload
I pulled the consoul off and washed the tank down, clay bared it out. Then wet sanded it with 2k and 3k grit paper. The orange peel was stupid bad. It then got compounded and polished with a 3" orbital. Cleaned up again and wiped down with IPA. Then and only then three coats of the CQUK were applied. Let the tank set 30 mins. between coats. Once done with that I let the tank set one hour then applied the Reload top coat. It should be cured in 48 hours.
The pictures do not do the finish justice. The nano/ceramic sealant is suppose to last two years on a car. And that does seem realistic if the prep and application is done right. The tank took 7.5 hours not counting cure time between applications.
On to the left saddle bag.

These pics are of a building reflection in the front fender and top of saddle bags. The front fender has so much orange peel in it the blind could read a secret novel in the paint.
It looks like Harley and the dealers use a pretty good filler/sealant when the bikes are prepped. Wash mine down and strip all that off and the orange peel looks horid....
Better now.
