Has anyone here ever looked into putting a decal wrap on your tank and/or fenders, as opposed to new paint? I want to to do away with the stock HD tank decals and striping but I love the paint job and don't want to ruin it. I'm thinking long lines of old-school flaming for tank. I've looked online for some ideas, but nothing has come up.
Thoughts?
Oh...2 months and 6 days til TIGER FOOTBALL 2007!!
I hear ya, actually thought about doing just that. Thing is, I really like the factory coloring on the OE tins. Like the H-D dude told me when I signed for the bike..."Congratulations for making a down payment on accessories!"
ya know... this may sound just a little strange, but when I got my bike, I bought a spare set of tins (take-offs on ebay). Got 'em painted and put those on the bike and still have the originals in case something bad should happen, or when I sell it I can put the originals back on and it'll still look mostly brand new. Glad I did, too, apparently the tank for an '05 WG only fits the '04 and '05 from what I've been led to understand, tins for other models won't fit
Wild Bill (Hickory NC) did the flame job on my bike, he does a great job, is reasonably priced and very fast, I have no stickers on my bike, not into stickers. you can call him and find out when he will be in your area as he attends most of the larger rally;s in the area. I'm sure he will be in Myrtle Beach for the fall rally, let me knwo if you need his number.

Hey FKNDLX, I don't know about flames, but I think you'd better check your spark plugs.
