Took the cover off this past weekend for it's waking up from Winter celebration and noticed a 1" fine scratch on the tank . Looks to be in the clear coat. What products would you recommend to address this? Does Carpro offer a mild abrasive?
Wash with high quality wash
Decontaminate with an iron and a tar/bug remover
Clay bar.
Polish using a combination of abrasives and pads and DA polisher
Prep the surface
Apply an LSP of choice
you aren't getting a serious scratch out by hand, unless you want to put a stupid amount of effort into it....don't fall for the do it by hand little bit of elbow grease bullshit
Thanks guys - I'll post a pic tonight when I get home. I have a Pug that sheds like mad - I thought it was one of her hairs on the tank. About 1" long, thickness of a dog hair. Couldn't feel it when going over by hand.
Mike - I have a bunch of Griot's product in the cabinet, but don't think I have BOSS

CB - what combination of abrasives? What is LSP?
I use Wolfgang Total Swirl remover and an orange Boss pad....and then a finishing black pad with WG's Finishing Glaze, 2" and 3" pads and a Griot G8 polisher
LSP = last step product, ie wax, sealant, coating...
take your finger nail and gently run it over the crack, if you can feel it, it may be too deep to correct
