I have a question you guysmay be able to help me with.I have an 07 Black SG with about 3000 miles on it. A few months ago I washed my bike with Dawn dish detergentto remove the wax. I then detailed it with Zaino products. Excellent product and very happy with the results. I am very **** about how my bike looks and love the black. It is a pain in the **** to keep clean but well worth the comments I get when I am on the road. Last weekend I rode in the cold and had my chaps on. Now I have what appears to be smudge marks on the sides of my tank. I used Zaino All in One to try to buff them out to no avail. Putting wax over the marks doesn't, and will not, what I think do nothing but mask the marks. HOW CANI GET THEM OUT???
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
I have used it to take out stains that may be similar? Just an idea.... I have used it on my 08 UC to take out boot stains when I don't quite get my boots make it over the seat, getting on and off my bike.

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE MINOR SCRATCHES IN THE TANK. YOU WILL NEED TO BUFF THEM OUT. THERE IS A GUY BY THE NAME OF "3DOG" ON THIS FORUM. LOOK HIM UP ON THE MEMBER LIST (CHECK OUT THE PICT. OF HIS BIKE). HE IS A DETAILER. IF ANYBODY CAN HELP YOU HE'S THE ONE. I EMAILED HIM FOR SOME ADVICE ABOUT A WEEK AGO AND HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM AS OF YET. IHAVE READ SOME OF HIS POSTINGS AND THINK THIS GUY REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF. IF YOU CANT GET HIM TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION I WOULD GET A VERY LIGHT POLISHING COMPOUND. ALL DEPENDS HOW DEEP THE SCRATCHES ARE. HOPE THIS WAS SOME HELP. I ALSO HAVE A BLACK (07 UC) BIKE AND DEALING WITH SAME PROBLEM.
Never used Zaino products. But you do need something that polishes not a cleaner or just a wax. I have a black bike. I have a whole cabinet full of products. This sounds like something I would use Zymol on. It is not real harsh, and seems to take out the fine scratches and restores the deep shine. Good luck.
I appreciate all of the replies. This bike is my life, if you know what I mean. All of my riding buddies are constantly giving me a ration of crap about how clean I keep it. I really hate to take to it with any type of abrasive no matter how fine it is. But it sounds llike I have to bite the bullet and give it a try.
