There's probably 100 threads for this already, but a quick search for "best wax" turned up nothing.
I just replaced the tank emblems on my bob and the Goo Gone and rubbing alcohol left the paint looking less than perfect. Just wondering what brand/type of wax you guys would recommend to get her looking flawless again.
I would use Meguires #2, scratch X, #9 and then follow up with a wax of your choice. There are quite a few posts on this and there is one on a new turtle wax for black paint.

To take off sticky residue off of a bike, I'd use brake cleaner. Then to wax the bike I'd use anything by McGuires. I'm really impressed with their liquid cleaner/wax. Goes on easy and comes off without much effort!
Try some lemon pledge...read about it in another thread so I went and bought a can & some micro fiber cloths at lunchtime for $6 stopped at homw and hit the tank with it. Looks like new.
If you want a good polymer cleaner wax try Klasse.
I am a firm believer in Lemon Pledge and use it all of the time. It is especially good on a bug-infested windshield! But, I don't think that it is a good substitute for a good base wax job. I have read many reviews of TW's Black Box and am off to buy one to give my 2009 FXD a good polishing and then will use the Pledge for touch-ups!
