Default Brake Cleaner

The last issue of AIM had an article bout doing an oil change. Nothing real interesting except for the suggestion of using brake cleaner to clean up spill from the filter. I don't want brake cleaner anywhere near my paint or rubber, particularly the motor mounts. What are they thinking?

Default RE: Brake Cleaner

I use it all the time on my disc wheel and my rotors, I have also used it on the powder coated frame with no problems, aircraft stripper is about the only thing that will harm pc.I spray it on a rag though, never directly at the bike. I agree, I wouldn't want to get it near the rubber mounted engines or any rubber or plastic, but I don't have a rubber mounted engine.
