Wait to Wax?

I'm taking delivery in June on a new bike. I've been told to wait a month for the paint to cure before waxing.

True or an old wives tale?

What he ^^^ said... In fact, ifyou get a good coat of wax on the bike without bugs splats, chips, road debris, etc..., all that will come off easier when you go to wash/clean the bike. Some protection now will avoid more extensive repair/touch up in the future.

When I worked in an auto body shop that was a rule of thumb or slightly longer. With these bikes, they were painted long before you took delivery so I would wax it ASAP. Enjoy.
