Call Me Old Fashioned

I've been using Dupont #7 car polish since 1971. It used to come in the square green can but it now comes in a white plastic bottle. Works great on ALL painted surfaces and chrome. I'll wash, polish and then wax. Simonize carnuba hard wax. Apply and rub till it shines. An application lasts better than a year!

Here's another vote for Meguiars NXT Tech Wax 2.0. It works great and leaves a deep shine on my RKC.

You can't go wrong with the Meguiars stuff. I use their stuff religiously.

Get the paint looking the way you want to and then put a sealant on. I use Optimum Opti-Seal. It will last for a few months. Optimum does make a permanent sealant, but I have not tried it yet.

I use rejex after polishing, if necessary. It has a high refractory index so the paint looks very deep. It also seals. It does it so well that waxes don't stick. I use it on headlights as well. It also prevents bugs from sticking too badly and can be wiped off with just some detailing spray and microfiber cloth.

The only negative is that it requires a minimum 8 hour cure.
