Ballistol Review
It was invented in Germany before WW I as an all around gun cleaner and lubricant. It is now made in Kitty Hawk, NC and is pharmaceutical mineral oil-based not petrol oil so it is nontoxic and contains no carcinogens. They used to shave with it during the war. It is used to clean and lubricate machinery used in food processing because it is not poisonous. It smells sweet like black licorice.
After cleaning one of my Glocks I started in on the MC. I used it on the inside of the fairing with great results, better than Back-to-Black and Pig Spit. I eventually used it on every part of the bike except the rotors. Simply amazing, it is the best detailer I have ever used. On the painted engine parts it is several times better than S100 Engine Brightener and Pig Spit. I have the stock painted / aluminum wheels and wow, they look better than new! You can also add a few ounces to a bucket of car wash.
After I finished the bike I used it on my stainless steel appliances, wood furniture, riding boots, etc.
I bought a 6 ounce aerosol spray can from a EBay seller but I did not want to post a link because I didn't want people to think I am selling it. You can buy it from the company directly or just Google it. I later bought a larger non-aerosol can.

The stuff continues to amaze. The lining of my dishwasher is stainless steel and is spotted from hard water. I wiped down the inside of the door and put a couple of ounces in and ran it. It looks like new. All the plastic covered racks look new too.
