05 ultra..Asked the dealer what to use to water proof it or take care of it..Dealer says seat is not leather..Hmmmm. What is the seat made of and what is the suggestion to clean it and protect it. Bike sits in the sun when I ride to work and am concerned that the sun is not doing it any favours..Any ideas and whats it made of.

Even though the seats aren't leather, about every 4 months, I go over my saddlebags, seat and sissy bar pad with the leather conditioner HD provided with the saddlebags. I think if I were you, I'd get a small cover for the bike and use it when it sits out all day.

Well I thought the seat was leather. I've been using Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner, and wrap up with 303 Aerospace sun protectant. If it's not leather, my seat looks better than it did when my 05 was new!

Try using VINYLEX made by lexol to clean your seat. It also has sunscreen in it to protect from the sun. It is the best thing I've ever found for anything black that is plastic,
