I just got back from a long rode trip and my bike could use some cleaning. I do not like to use water because no matter how hard you try spots get left behind.
A buddy of mine suggested windex on the under surfaces.
Any other ideas??
I do have waterless wash made by Ibizz which I plan to use on the upper areas.
Windex does not recommend it's use on aluminum, so everything else seams like fair game. Personally I do not touch (clean) dry. Lately I've been using Simple Green cut 50% with water and a micro-fiber towel followed by a through rinse, blow dry with the leaf blower and another micro-fiber towel to finish any touch-up.
Windex and Simple Green will remove any wax you have on the surface.
I would suggest trying Protect-All Quickand Easy Wash. It is a no rinse formula. You can find it at most RV stores and the boating section of Walmart.
No-Rinse formulas are used more and more by mobile detailers. They will cause no more "scratching" than any other quality shampoo. If you are getting scratches from washing you will need to look at the methods used.
If you wantto go waterless, use DRI-WASH N' GUARD ! That's all I use on my bike, you will NOT get ANY scratches or swirls. It suspends the dirt above the surface,It works great on chrome, paint, rubber, I even clean my visor on my helmet. A little goes a LONG way. I also use it on my 5th wheel RV, it's fiberglass.
