Glad you are doing good and will be riding again soon.
Just this past weekend, I had a young driver pull up beside me at a light, blipped her horn and yelled at me because I flipped my headlight on bright as I approached an intersection when I saw that she was going to do a roll through. She said it startled her and "almost blinded" her...I gave her a big grin and a thumbs-up and thanked her for finally noticing me...she reacted by yelling some more and speeding off...I still don't think that she got it.
An engine guard would probably have saved you some damage to your fairing and tank, ya know...

Heard an interesting statistic the other day on some news show:
Two thirds of motorcycle collisions occur at intersections, and two thirds of these are the other driver's fault.

Good job being aware. I assume EVERY car I see is going to do something stupid. I frequently start braking and slowing down when I see a car I even think might have a 1 percent chance to pull out in front of me. That way if they do I'm already half way to avoiding it.
