Why do you care? Just get whatever you can, it'll be fine.

It's highly respected in the high performance/race community, and does unusually well in used oil analysis, for the presence of "wear metals".

I wish it was easier to find too.
Because right after my dad started using scamsoil his engine developed a tick. He was told by multiple places that is normal. A few years later his engine spun a bearing and the place he got it replaced at said that all the bikes that came in with engine failure had scamsoil in them. We trust the place that replaced the engine.

The bike was brand new when my dad started using scamsoil and my dad doesn't ride his bike hard at all and does slow take offs and stops like your supposed to so I respectfully disagree that there was something else going on. And for the record, i don't care how good you say your oil is, I don't trust any company that says you can go 25,000 miles on their oil.

I doubt there are many that uses fork oil in their engine. Really?
I agree, you would have to be not very bright to think someone would put fork oil in their engine.

He's talking about fork oil. If your running fork oil in your motor then that is where the problem lies. You can order it from Ricor if you can't find it any place else.
lol..now that is funny

There were no failures with any other kind of oil? That's amazing!

If somebody really good had torn down the engine, they probably could have diagnosed what really happened. Given that your dad drove it easy, it was probably a manufacturing defect, like the bearing clearance not set up correctly originally. Lots of other possibilities too. Very few problems are actually caused by lubricant failure.

Disagree... Nephew is a host on HorsePowerTV, has built numerous engines; friend drags his bikes at Lucas Oil Drag Park, they swear by Amsoil. Been running it in my engines for quite a awhile, no issues.

My local Autozone carries Amsoil but you have to ask for it and since it is a secondary product no discounts or sales. Not sure they all carry it but mine does.
