Who's running what? Pros and cons besides the obvious (figure out how to mount the Ness fairing on your own.)
Looking for a little wind deflection and found a decent deal on ebay for the gauntlet and trigger lock kit. But the ness fairing looks better, IMO. Somebody help me spend some more money...lol
I have the Gauntlet, no personal experience with the Ness. I am very happy with the fairing, the quick release isn't quite as quick as it should be, at least on mine. I have to disclaim, mine was the pre-production unit so that could be part of it. It does give a decent amount of wind deflection, makes long freeway rides much more enjoyable. I can comfortably run 85mph+ for a couple hundred miles without the wind beating me up.
I have the gauntlet. Great wind deflection, well made, good paint, easy install.
Agree with glock35, makes those long trips at 80-90mph lot easier on the body.
I have quick disconnect but have never taken it off since install a year ago.
No experience with a ness.
The ness will need some work mounting and trimming to fit, and the gauntlet has bolted right up to the 2 I have messed with. I would go with the Harley or Conley 1/4 fairing, I think they look better. There is not much differences but there are differences.
Cool, yeah my main thing is my work commute...sick of the wind beating the hell out of me on the highway. Think I'm gonna go with the gauntlet. I like the look of that HD 1/4, but not enough to justify the extra hundo.
