backpack instead of bags

I normally don't carry more than what will fit in my pockets (pants, jacket or vest) but on the few times I have, I run an Icon backpack. If I'm jamming back and forth somewhere close (less than 100mi) I wear it normally. Longer trips I swing it around in front so I look like a pregnant bearded lady. I don't worry about how silly it looks, there's little chance you're gonna keep up next to me to make much of a judgement. Bags with the minute exception of T-sport units real or repro, look heinous IMHO. If carrying that much **** around is your plan, maybe get a Prius.

I was running backpack for a year. Maybe because I was using just regular one, that thing started killing my shoulders even on short rides. Than I thought - wtf- and got bags. Felt like I got wings
that net for rear fender is pretty cool though, but looks even worse than bags imho
