Well todays the day when I get to pick up my new bike. I won't mention what it is, because it looks like lots of folk get a tad upset with all the mentions of the Street Bob... bugger... i let it slip.. ah well.
Picking it up tonight, so my 5 year old wide glide will be departing.. its been a great bike, but am really looking forward to the longer stroke of the new motor, hopefully it will remind me a bit of my old shovel.
Liked the wide glide, but with less than £1000 to change to a new bike, its a no brainer...
Collected the new Bob this evening, and rode around for a while, about 40 miles. It really does handle great.. well compared to be 5 year old wide glide anyway.. more solid and definately far easier to ride as well..I even like the mid controls...
Had a stage one put on it before i picked it up, some V & H staggered long shots..bloody noisy pipes..[sm=goodidea.gif] V& H fuel thingy, and a k&N filter.
Looks like it will have a lot more sheer guts than the old 88 twin cam motor.. and i also like the fact that its a bit more like my shovel was, longer stroke, and loads of pulling power.. roll on 1000 miles!!
Love it so far, but will keep you informed how i get on with it..
oh and thanks for asll the answers to the questions I am bound to have...[sm=helpout.gif]
no problems wiht the V&H fuel thingy? My dealer refuses to use them...said I wouldn't be happy. He said you can't dial them in properly. I think he's full of sh*t. But, here I am, 3 weeks later still waiting for the HD Race Tuner with stock pipes. It's killing me...I want my pipes!!!
