So short story long: a couple years ago I switched from stock spokes on my 07 FXDB to 13 spoke mags, I kept stock pulleys on there. About a year later I changed to 30/70 pulley combo. I sold my stock 07 FXDB pulley.
I decided I wanted to go back to 66t so I bought a used pulley from a newer street Bob from a forum member- 2012 or 2013 I think.
I just got a rear tire on there Saturday and Brought the pulley for HD to put on there since the wheel was off- they told me it doesn't fit. Like it just wouldn't even bolt up. I know there are different widths and number of teeth, but they were saying it wouldn't even bolt on.
So my question is: are they full of ****? I thought the bolt pattern has been the same forever, just different widths and teeth. I think they were just not wanting to mess with the spacers on the axle, but am I wrong? Are there different bolt patterns between years?
the thickness of the belt is different, 06 and some 07 run a 70T, for a 1 1/4 i belive belt, then in late 07+ they changed to a skinnier 1" belt and 66 t pulley you can run a fatter pulley wih a skinny belt no problem, but your can not run a fat belt on a skinny pulley
