I'm looking to put this tool box on my dyna. Looking for opinions and options. I like having tools on the road, gives me the famous warm and fuzzy feeling when I'm out and about. This will require a bracket that I will have to build myself, which is not a problem. I've already bought the cruz tool kit as well.
The dyna mount usually has a vertical mount involving the passenger peg. Check out teardrop tool boxes on j&p cycles. I had one mounted with the provided bracket and it broke from vibration as it is bolted to the swing arm..the horizontal mount in your example photo looks pretty good, I wonder if checking the oil when hot may be a challenge?
I know guys have fabricated homemade mounts using stock passenger peg and made them good and stout to hold up to the vibration from the swingarm but you may have to sacrifice two up riding..
Hope some other ideas come up, Id like to get mine mounted..

I have looked at the J P Cyles mount, but it doesn't look right to me. Checking the oil hot might be a bit dicey, but while the engine is cold should be no problem.I usually need a funnel with a long spout for the transmission is no real change. Thanks for the input.
