It's been laboring to start at times for a week or so, it finally started clicking. I pulled it out and tore it apart tonight, it is toast, the brushes are a melted pile of ****. lol. I got lucky and was able to get it started one last time to make it home. My start switch stuck on me a few weeks ago and I didn't realize it. I just ordered an All ***** 1.4 kw starter. Expensive mishap...
Recieved the starter, got it in 3 days, thanks Amazon. Install went easy. Cranks like it has never cranked before. Seems to have much more cranking power than OEM. Since I bought the bike over 2 years ago, it would hesitate a little at times when cranking. That problem is gone. Very happy.
Factory starters are only .8kw basically you put in a high torque starter. Now when you go for your next battery the stock rating is not the way to go. Stick with a 300 cca and you'll do good. I have a 1.2kw starter and 320 cca battery and spins nice at 11:1 cr. And by the way $204 is a steel. Good job.
