Looks great! We have some pretty similar mods, including the headlight. I moved my headlight up and back a little bit using the HD headlight mount. I think it flows better overall that way. Let me know if you're interested and ill dig up the part number.
Hey Joe,
I'm definitely interested in the part number when you have time. Thanks!
The rear fender modification looks Great. Can you forward the part number for the fender? I have an 08 Fat Bob and want to do the same thing. Did you have any problems with the rear tire width?
Thanks

The part number is 69611-06. IMO it makes a world of difference over the regular block. Here's a link to it in the HD site but I found mine for 10 bucks cheaper on eBay, granted it was 3 or 4 years ago. The pic shows it pointing forward but for ours we just turn it backwards and it works great.
Well, I have been saving up money and stocking up on parts over the last several months (still waiting on my Ebay side license plate mount). Finally got the new fender, turn signals and Burly Slammers on. Used PC'd stand offs. Mail ordered the gloss black strut covers, but one arrived scratched all to hell, so I returned both. Glad I did. The struts cleaned up well with some cleaner wax, and I like the look.
BTW the 7" headlight is from a Fat Boy.
The weather man is saying sunshine and upper 40's this weekend, so I'm hoping to get some ride time in.
I'll be listing the old fender, strut covers, nut brackets, turn signals, stand offs, and stock shocks in the classifieds later tonight.
Beautiful bike man! That's exactly what I would have done!

Thanks for all the kind words Guys!
There are several threads on this board that were hugely helpful. I did a lot of reading before embarking on this project. I've pasted them below, including one with a list of part numbers.
Lift the bike and drop the swingarm for needed room. I bought the stick-on wire channel from HD and ended up ripping it out. It's so tight you can't get the turn signal and tail light wires through it. Waste of freakin money. Run your wiring just ABOVE each nut bracket inside the fender and tighten them down with wire tires. Then use some 3M cable tie mounts with foam tape towards the front of the fender just before it exits the hole under the seat.
Clearance is tight on the sides but it works. Plenty of room in front of the rear tire. When I replace the stock Dunlap, I've read the Michelin Commander II is a hair thinner, just FYI.
And another HUGE tip for anyone doing this swap. The space between the strut and the front of the fender requires more than the one spacer, more like three on each side. I pulled it out and actually put a crease on the right side (dumb ***) before I realized it, so take it easy and use lots of spacers (washers).
DK 2" tank lift. I made my own out of aluminum bar at first, but decided to go with the DK lift made out of steel. The home-made version just looked flimsy to me. I'll take a close up pic tomorrow, but for now I'll say I'm very pleased.
I just got their heavy breather to throw on, and I decided to change the breather bolts for their discreet breather system. They lined up the return immediately and were great. They are very nice to deal with, ship very quickly, and all in all very pleasant folks.
