Thanks man, I'm going with the bandit sportsman. Not sure which springs I'm going to use, I haven't given it much thought honestly
Gray, no shims.
It comes with gold and gray springs plus enough shims to put 4 on each spring. You can mix the springs too. As far as the Bandit goes it is amazing. The first thing is that when you fire your bike up cold and put into gear there is no clunk or any hint of it going into gear. Tedious to set up the first time though. Great clutch! If you are a hot rodder an Evo industries basket might be a good idea but I thought it would be over kill. Do you have a dial indicator? I got mine from Napa for like $140.
Cool thanks for the heads up on the springs. I don't have a dial indicator but a good friend of mine has one that will bolt to the inner primary case so I think that should work. I should buy one just to have but I'm done spending if I don't have to. Are the shims there to adjust runout or to adjust pressure? I've read through the bandit directions online but I don't remember seeing anything that explains how to adjust the runout.
So I got the stator bolts today and locked that down, cleaned up the rotor and got it on there. Then I pressed in the IPB. Little bit of oil on the bearing bore and a little on the outer face of the bearing. As soon as it gets moving it slides right in, no real need to freeze it. I was hoping to get the inner primary on but somehow I forgot to pick up a new seal for the IPB...
Couldn't help myself, I had to see the primary all put together so I threw it on with a few bolts just to check it out. I don't know how I feel about it right now, it kind of looks out of place but I think it will come together nicely after the rest of the bike goes together.
