Thanx for the kind words. You have to stay positive, especially under negative circumstances. I am not dead, I still can walk, I get to hug and kiss my wife and see my kids everyday. I'd say everything is still in order, all things considered. Another bike will come in due time. I am just bummed that I am going to have to start over from scratch. Empty wallet, here I come!

It sucks to have your career path change like that. It sounds like you're a fairly young guy with a good positive attitude which are two big positives. Keep healing up, things will work out.

Happy to hear you are recovering, the machine can be replaced, the important thing is you are here to tell about it.

Very sorry to hear this...of course I'm glad you came through it alive but the needlessness of this sort of accident is terribly frustrating. Best of luck to you.

OP, thanks for checking back in and sharing your story. It's a "reality check" for sure. Wishing you all the best on your way back.

Glad you're alive! Thank you for sharing your story. Keep your head up and your thoughts positive, as difficult as that may be at times. It only gets better from here.

My best friend lost his left leg in a similar accident last summer. I was right next to him when it happened, kept him alive on the street waiting for the helicopter. It changed everyone involved, but he's back to living a normal life and even riding again.

Good luck! And dont forget there are plenty of people willing to listen if you need to talk.

Know this is a cliche but you can replace the bike but not your life. Best of luck finding a new bike as it is out there waiting for you.
