Default Street Bob controls and bars

Hi guys - I'm 5'11 with long legs. How will I do on the stock mid control footies on the street Bob? Or will I need to move them forward. Also have any street Bob riders gone with the chisel z bars or a drag bar? Would love to see photos - thanks.

5'11" with long legs describes me also. When I bought my Street Bob the previous owner had installed forwards. I was going to change back to mids because that's what I was used to. After a couple of days riding I stayed with the forwards because I really like them. They seem perfect for me, and I've ridden lots of long days with them, and really like the comfort.

I don't know anything about chisel Z bars, but I used to have short drag bars on 6" straight risers and I liked that a lot too. Lots of people say that having to reach forward to the bars along with forward foot controls is uncomfortable, but I've got long arms to go with the long legs, and I thought the riding position was near perfect. I'm running 12" straight riser T-bars now.

Good Luck.

I am 6'4" and my 2011 Street Bob came with mid controls. I changed them over to forward controls because my legs were cramping up while riding. Ever since the switch I no longer get leg cramps. Just be aware that forward controls will rotate your body so you're sitting right on or close to your tailbone. That can be uncomfortable on long rides if you don't have a good seat. I also installed Burly 14" apes for my long monkey arms.
