I've left my WideGlide in the garage for about two weeks off the tender once and then when I went to start it to go for a short ride, after rolling it out, then had to push it back UP the drive- way back into the garage. I won't do that again! Also keep the Fob at least 15' away as the crow flies so the bike won't recognize it.
PLEASE UPDATE what is the cause off the issue????? we cant help people with issues in the future

Okay, that's just plain rude. As I stated, I've been working and don't have time to wait around for a tow, and if a tender works, better than going through the hassle of repairs. And if you're going to spew insults, spell them correctly.

So what if it is user error, don't know any perfect humans since Jesus....part of what makes this site great is learning the mistakes of others and sharing your own, no need to ridicule anybody.
I have a 2015 Fat Bob. (Did you buy this new or as a salvage wreck or what? Because if you did buy it new then it has a warranty and I have to admit, you're leaving a lot of holes in this story.)The battery has just gone out for the second time. The first was a few weeks ago when I was at the advanced rider course and left the ignition on for literally five minutes for a water break. The instructor has been riding for fifty years, and he said he's never seen that. HOG paid for the tow, and I just paid for the new battery. Rode it home, everything was fine. Because of the cold, wet weather, I haven't ridden it for about a week and a half. I went down to the garage today to install my tall boy seat, and it wouldn't start. That's not long enough for the bike to deteriorate, right? Ignition was definitely off and locked. I'm going to call service tomorrow. I have an extended service plan (not like we're into extended territory anyway). This has no bearing on the subject at hand, your regular warranty must still be in effect, no need to confuse the issue.
Is that too long to leave it? What could be causing it aside from inactivity? How pissed should I be? Ha.
This seems painfully simple so there must be something missing.
You bought a bike, it's under warranty, yet you have paid out of pocket for something that should be under warranty!
Have you checked for codes? When you took it to the dealership when HOG towed it did they give you no explanation at all and did they tell you you must pay for a new battery?
I could understand some befuddlement if this was an old bike with no warranty but I can't help feel that this should be a simple matter resolved under warranty at a dealership.
No, leaving your ignition on for five minutes is not going to kill a new battery. Sitting in a garage for a week un-tended is not going to kill a new battery.
What was the dealership explanation from the first time you took it in?
