they are pretty good fitting. I say they complement the looks of the fat bob well
Looks great, I was thinking of install a small amp inside and installing some 6.5 speakers, and voila some tunes for the road and no handlebar mounted speakers

Man what a killer bike. I love the how the fairing looks with double headlamps. I know a lot of dyna club guys hate the double look, but i think it looks wicked.
I'm going to by going with lowers on mine as well, hoping that this payday will leave me enough money to be able to do it.
Ebay is going to be my best friend.... I peiced it together, and figured about 200 bucks or so to do the lowers, or my dealership told me 600 for JUST the fairings, not even the hardware.... yeesh.
I have them on my switchback, used the non vented lowers off of a 95 ultra
trimmed about 1/4" or so off of each side to make them work
on and off in 10 minutes
see sig photo
Where do you have to trim the fairing? I want to put some on my Switchback as well. Thanks.

the inner ( frame side ) edge, take 1/4" off that edge.. one side on the older ones has a tab so trim that off first THEN take the 1/4" of material off.. I used a straight edge and grease pen to mark the line..
then at the bottom you will see where they don't clear the bottom bracket
you will need to cut a pie shaped wedge to clear that bracket

Really? No comparrison to me, if I am going on a long ride or trip I take the Electra Glide, so much more comfortable.....
Being all over North America on my touring version Dyna. Although, I do plan to one day have a nice Ultra, I have zero complaints about touring on my Dyna. I can also tell you this, with all the long rides I have been on with groups of people on touring bikes, they fidget way to much. I have riden a few touring bikes, I have way more room on my Dyna then I do on the "bigger" touring bikes.
OP, if I had went with the standard engine guard, I would have put the lowers on long ago. But did't look into that until after I installed the mustache guard. Hind sight is 20/20.
Just noticed that this thread is pretty old, haha.
