I started out with mid controls, adding highway pegs, then forward controls, then my own custom dual controls https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-question.html and finally the Dyna footboards which I like the best.
I recently added Heel/Toe shifting that is a little different than most in that it uses Toe up-shifting and Heel down-shifting. This set up uses the shift controls from my custom dual controls with the mid control which is now the Heel control shift peg inverted to the inside of the shift lever. This set up only works if you leave the mid control shaft and lever in place when you add the footboards. See my dual control post for details on the shift controls https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-question.html . I really like this set up, it overcomes a common complaint of Heel Toe shifters in that they take up space from the footboard, by moving the Heel shifter peg just inboard of the footboard.
JRK, I have seen before how you and others have welded the spline on. But that begs the question, does the welding effect the "pinch" ability of the shifter?
Smart! I like your mod.
I love heel/toe, can't live without one. Some ppl hate it becoz they get used to upshift, didn't want to try new things. It could also be a big foot bugging them lol
I just removed the single spline and welded a spline off of a softail on to the stock shift arm. Then I got a two inch over heel shifter and mounted it on the inside.
