Default Mini tach mounting help needed

I have a 1 7/8" mini tach on my 2011 Street Bob. I use to have it mounted to a GPS mount I was using. I recently removed the GPS mount and now I'm looking for any suggestions/pictures on where to mount the tach.

Default Tach Mount

HD makes a mount that is bolted to the handlebar clamp...

Harley only makes mounts for their 2 5/8" inch mini tach. Mine is 1 7/8".

I aint sure how important your tach is to you for riding purposes. But i seen a one mounted on a bracket off the rear head. It looked pretty cool there but i sure wouldn't want be cranking the snot of my scooter while looking at my tach located there. But if you just have it for the cool factor awesome place i say.

I already considered mounting it on the right side head but I need it where I can see it. I come from a racing background where the tach plus current gear position is used instead of a speedometer. I also use earplugs when I ride and have a harder time hearing the engine to shift. I want it close to the speedo so I will probably end up making a custom bracket to attach it to the tree nut.
