Works vs. Progressive
#2
I looked at both, ended up going with Works. Mostly due to being fabricated for my weight and riding style (whether I needed that or not is certainly debatable). Great customer service and good price. You can get the Progressive 970's at about the same rate as the Works from some places. I really liked the look but for some reason I got the sense that they were more intended for racing or very aggressive riding. Don't know if that's based on any reality though.
I have been incredibly happy with the ride quality of my Works shocks (Black Trackers, stock length)

If I am going to drop that kind of money I would want a custom built shock.
I have always like progressive shocks but I don't buy their top of the line shocks because they are coming off a shelf.
I love my works shocks when I had em. Traded bikes. Should have taken them off.
I think either way you will enjoy either.
