My Streetbob(pic heavy)
The one thing I can say that I don't know about Nevada is the helmet law. I don't agree with seatbelt laws, or helmet laws, but that's a whole nother conversation. icon_viking
Hopefully you'll quit hearing the Anarchy references soon, the show is over now.

Thanks!!
I know that one! Been through it several times. It is big compared to where I came from....LOL Although I did move to the big city....Boise.
I've kind of figured out the direction that I will be going with my Streetbob.
Some back story,
I got the bike used at a car dealership last August with 1000 miles, for 8600(then told them about my trade in Vstar that i got 1500 for.
It already had that bars
(14's) and fairing on there, I'm not sure which ones they are(If any one tells me, I'll owe you a beer.
This was the day at the Dealership
All smiles as I sat on her for the first time
Got a little wet on the 200 mile ride home
First mod I did was take off that ugly grey color battery cover trim. I took a windshield bag that I had laying around, matched up the holes, drilled them, and now have a nice place to hold my papers, and some small tools.
Then I bought some highway pegs off of ebay, and sanded them down, sprayed them with Self-Etching Primer, then covered with the Harley Textured Paint. It's held well for the last 500 miles, sure as hell beats the cost of powdercoating.
Doing the same thing with a quick detatch sissy bar
I've bought a seat from a fellow user here that is on its way to my garage, some hand guards, and passenger pegs with mounts from ebay(man i love ebay.)
I plan on wanting to follow suite with some of the guys on here, and adding an engine guard, and the Touring lower fairings. I also want to do hard bags that are quick detach, similar to the Dyna Switchback.
So, what do you guys think? Suggestions? Comments? I'll be updating this thread as my blog for my bike as I take cool trips, and add more stuff onto the bike. Thanks for lookin.
nice scoot for a good price - lol on that dot german helmet tho lol
People give me a lot of Sh*t about having an SOA bike. I tell them that ever since I was about 5, and a pack of HA rode by me when I was in San Fransico with my parents and I saw this set up, I've wanted it.
I grew up in a biker family. Mom and Dad were married 21 years ago, when they rode to Sturgis, 6 months pregnant with me. Willie G signed their wedding certificate. They say I was pretty much conceived on the bike, but i quickly tune out anything they say after that.....
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Here are the during pictures of dechroming my quick detach sideplates, and sissy bar.
My parents and I went out for a ride yesterday, You can see that I removed the Las Vegas swingarm sticker. They have a 1997 Wideglide, that decided it didn't like its fuel Petcock anymore, and blew out yesterday, so We spent most of our ride at the HD shop getting a new one.... I'll be helping my dad install it tonight.

First is the Two Up Reduced Reach Seat.
Had to look for help, because the front of the seat wobbled a bit. Found out that if you wrap some electrical tape around the tab that goes underneath the tank, it will eliminate any looseness.
Also got some hand guards from jdcustomsandfabrications.com ebay spot. The PC was flaking off, and chipped on one of the guards, I emailed him to let him know, and he instantly offered to exchanged them for new ones. I told him not to worry, as I had the Texture black paint from the MOCO, and we worked out a deal. Good guy, other then the paint deal, I'm really impressed with them. We'll see how they do with wind deflection when I'm able to go out this weekend.
I also took a white paint pen, and went over the Harley-Davidson Logos on the wheels. My ode to old Muscle Cars. It took several layers to get it to really pop and stand out. It would have been easier if I had taken the time to wash the wheels, but my garage is carpeted, and it was pouring rain outside, and I didn't want to wait. Lol.
The yahoo who owned my Dyna before me(You know, the guy who bought a brand new bike, but the Tbars and Fairing on it, rode for about 1000 miles, then traded it in for a minivan, he went by Jax???) tried taking off the belt guard and tripped the hell out of the bolt. I had to completely drill and tap it(My first time ever doing something like that mind you) to get it to come off, so I can start adding the passenger pegs on once they get here.
Next is turn signal relocation and the quick detach brackets, however I don't know anything about electrical, so I'm waiting for my dad to help me with the cutting and splicing the wires under the fender(he's a master electrician, and completely wired several bikes from start to finish.).
