Wide rear tire on Street Bob - need help with part numbers please!
Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
Your taking photo's of the wrong place,, the kit does not address that area.
If you have a concern for those wires,, it's easy to push them further into the tail light assembly bracket.
If you remove the fender while installing the "kit", scrub and wash the inside of the fender, stuff those wires in and cover them with duct tape to keep them flat.
The inside of the fender needs to be factory clean and free of dirt/dust for the duct tape to stick.
Thank you for your respobse John,
Does it address this other area? See my latest photo posted
The concern is. I want to make sure the kit will cover my issue,
Otherwise I am thinking of going to an after market rear fender, since I still have to replace my current fender, it is broken,
All your feedback will be appreciated!
I had a look at the inside of my '15 street bob rear fender and it feels like it already has some fender inner side plates/brackets protecting and concealing the wires..... Is the one from the "wide tire kit". # 59514-06 different to the stock ones I already have?
In other words, do the later model street bobs already come with the inner fender wiring brackets that I need to conceal and keep the turn signal wires flat against the inner side of the fender?
Thanks again.
I don't know if they're the same as in the catalog, but my 2014 rear fender has length long guides for the wiring. They're pretty dang flush if you ask me, not sure how the wires could be tucked any closer....
I am just about to start a project to move from a 180mm to 200mm on a 2010 Wideglide. Got myself a crossbones 6x17 rim ready to go. I expect issues with my turn signals also so I will post up whatever solution I come up with.
It will be a while though as I have commitments the next month and need the scooter. Good luck.
I'm late to the party here but here is my understanding. When HD went from the central rear tail light to the integrated turn/brake lights on the sides they also changed the wiring to something similar to the kit. You shouldn't need the kit if you have this setup. When I had my wheel off I looked it over and felt like it was already very streamlined.
I have a 180 scorcher 31 BTW.
If you have the rear fender mounted brake light then you should consider the kit I guess. You posted yours is a 15, you should be gtg. I don't remember what year they changed the brake lights. Mine is a 14.

The part numbers listed in post #4 of this thread are what you need. I have them on my bike But I don't think I ever took a picture of the fender brackets. But they do in fact work.
