Nice to see somebody manning up for their family. I had to sell my '66 Mustang in 1986, when my third kid was born.
Now I have 3 great kids, a Harley, a nice house, a Silverado.
Bought my wife a 2012 Mustang convertible, last week. Took 29 years, but it is worth it.
Raising happy kids is better than any material possession. Hope you are back in the saddle soon. Ride safe. Those little guys need a Dad.
You & most of the others are right. Family first & debt free is a good feeling.
Wow, you did good on the sale. But like you said it was worth it, had all the improvements it needed.
Don't sweat it you'll get another when your ready.
if you didn't spend so much customizing it you probably could have kept it.
What a dick. Why do you care what someone spends on their bike and if they sell it or not? Whether it was a $20k bike or a $5k bike, extra money never hurts.
That sucks man but family first for sure, good to see guys that have their priorities straight. Looking forward to your dx or dxt build. I love my bike and it's not for sale but if someone offered me $20k it would be hard to not consider haha. Good luck moving forward man, maybe we'll see a 124" in the dxt haha

why does anyone care? why did anyone bother reading the thread in the first place? Maybe no one cares what you think either. All I see is someone who sunk a lot of money & time in a bike just to sale it.

All I see is a guy who put a lot of love into a bike, just to give it up for the sake of his family. I don't know that I could have done the same.
OP, good on you for putting your family above all else. I hope to see you back in the saddle before too long.
