My front suspension adventures are pretty well documented here on HDF. My quest took a huge step backwards with my current situation, so I started researching a replacement cartridge kit. I looked at several options and spoke to a few suppliers, then decided to go with the Andreani kit.
Since there isn't a lot of info about them here in the U.S., I'm starting to thread to document the entire experience from start to finish.
The first step was ordering from their US distributor, Fast Bike Industries. I called and spoke with David about my needs and previous suspension history. He's an Ohlins trained tech, and very knowledgeable about Harley front ends (unlike some other performance specialists who only know sport bikes). I placed the order on Monday, 16 February. He said expect 2 to 3 weeks for delivery since he didn't have any in stock when I called and is waiting for another shipment from Andreani.
Next post will (hopefully) be a couple weeks from today when they arrive. I'll be taking pics of the install and will post them here as well.
EDIT: Shipment arrived in less than 2 weeks. Link to the installation post below:
* NOTE - As he reminded a couple times during my install, David offers free installation of these, so if you aren't crazy about taking a grinder to your fork tubes, or don't wanna buy any extra tools (like a grinder), all you have to do is call him and work out shipping your stock forks to him.*
