I have a narrow glide on my 2003 fxdl and i just bought new rims and tires the rear tire bolted right on. Went from 140 to 160 rear clears the belt by a hair.
Now to do the front i need to do a conversion on my front end. The rim is to wide with the disk. I found a wide glide conversion kit on ebay for cheap.
my question is what is the pros and cons of doing a narrow glide to wide glide conversion?
I did the wideglide conversion, but I went the FXDWG front end with 41mm fork tubes, IMO think it looks better with the fatter tubes, other benefit is you can install a fatter front wheel if wanted, I did not find any difference in handling
