There powder coated rims are garbage! The powder coat is so thin or was already flaking off as delivered.
They say tube less but I would put a tube in them.
Had one rim that would not hold air.
Trying to get any warranty out of them is a nightmare.
Spend the extra for a ride wright.
I do not recommend any DNA products.
Have a question ordered my mammoth about 2 weeks ago which I know I'll probably be waiting a little while for it from what I've read on here. But I plan on running a tube and want to know how the valve stem hole is, is it offset or centered. Also what a good tube to purchase. Thanks in advance.
Hey thanks guys. Dna do seem to be hit or miss. Mostly do to air leaks with the tubeless application. Others are having to drill out the valve stem to get a tube in them. An poor customer service or lack there of. I priced out Ride Wright they look to be about $600 more. Ouch. I just found Sinister has Fat spoke pkgs. Wheels , rotors, Avon tires. An looks like you can get any color combo you want. Any thoughts on Sinister ? Flying tire motorcycle is a seller on ebay.
It holds air without a tube and I don't really think the weight is an issue. I went with a 21" and it fits the fender better on my Bob.
Hey Mascman wow that new wheel up front really dressed it up. Is your valve stem centered, it looks like it from your pic ? Does the new rotor seem to be holding up ? My stock one is a full floater.
Their steel, and quite heavy..... I have a set in the boxes for my street glide I traded for my Bob...... You'll find some bad forum press, but I have nothing but good things to say about mine, held air, stayed true, cleaned easily. They did ride a bit clumsier, but I lend that to the change in size..... I went from 18 front 16 rear, to 21 front and 18 rear.
