I will own one of every harley one day. I hade an FXDL. I also have a Honda. I am about to buy either a road glide or a Heritage complete with fishtails and gigantice ape hangers. Still have my Ninja too. I jusst love bikes.
This was a fun post to read after a horrid work day. Gave me a smile. By the way, I love my wide glide and will not "upgrade". I hope to add another bike or two to the stable but that's an addition not an upgrade.
I love me streetbob. I just hope one day I can upgrade to a streetglide. If I save my money and my calculations are right I can upgrade with 6.5 years from now!
Haha my sarcasm is weak I know.
Why can't we just ride the bikes we love without having a debate. My buddy has a 06 bob and a 2011 streetglide. He rides his streetglide more but he says he would never ever sell his dyna. I love my dyna but Ive only been a motorcycle owner for less than a year. I like baggers and dynas buy the dyna seemed like the better fit for me. I would hope people don't see a bagger as an "upgrade" that sounds stupid to me.

LOL, you're right. I just read the entire thread again, and Rwhisen is the only one showing signs of being upset. Looks like the strategy is to try to deny his own emotions, and try to project them on someone else instead.

Remember the OP, he's the one upset about people saying he should "upgrade". Everyone knows, real bikers don't have emotions. Is that another winter thread?

I'm not upset. Just confused. Why do grown men feel like what they have is better because it cost more? I could and can buy anything I want to ride. Just don't need a touring bike. I'll probably get one after retirement when I have time to enjoy it. But I will keep the dyna. Thanks for your concern. By the way, I lost my dad last year. Rest assured , I have emotions. Never claimed to be a"biker". Just a guy happy to own a Harley. Peace out.
It's just dick measuring, and it always says more about the guy holding the ruler than anything else. Some people need to have hoops and ladders to understand where they are in life. Cost and size are just simple sign posts for those that are looking to prove something to themselves. No way to avoid it, just easy to avoid caring.
