Default Shift Linkage Cover

I have forward controls on my FXDC. Does anyone know the right part # for this cover to fit my bike?

Default Shift Linkage Cover

2015 P&A catalog does not show that particular cover made for a Dyna. The one they do show is part # 33878-04 but it's slightly different and only fits 97-05 FXDWG and 93-05 FXDs.

The cover shown in your picture is made for 99 and later Softails and has part # 46304-01

That one MAY fit your Dyna. You'd be wise to measure before you purchase.

Good luck !!

First off I am only suggesting to get a shifter rod instead of a cover.

I completely agree with this, the stock linkage is junk at best with the pressed in ball joint and it's prone to fail at the most inopportune moments, replace the stock shift rod with a rod using heim joints, there are a great many aftermarket shift rods available in all manner of designs with the proper arrangement in different lengths.

I replaced the stock setup on my '13 Wide Glide almost immediately after I purchased it with a +3" extended billet shift rod with heim joints, a bit of tweaking and it turned out sweet, I'm too new in these parts to post images I believe or I'd put up a couple so you can see how it turned out... much better than stock!
